Fire roared through a chicken coop west of Sequim Tuesday night, killing a number of chickens. The structure was far enough away from the house that it did not spread. The fire was first spotted by a passer by who reported flames as high as 20 feet near the Robin Hill Farm County Park around 8:45 Tuesday evening. Fire District 3 Lt. Chad Cate told the Sequim Gazette that the homeowners were not inside the residence. Cause of the fire is still under investigation – although initial indications suggest it may have been started by a warming light.
